Yeah, it's a Darling start, being the weaker half of a back-to-back. They've done a good job sheltering Darling to this point such that if I'm not mistaken, this is his first road start of the year.

The rivalry may be over, but I still want to see the Nucks get smacked around.

call me old fashioned, but i remember when hawks game thread titles had obscure/ish song lyrics from a song that made some sort of reference to the hawks' opponent.... and then after that epoch formally ended i think the next generation of threadmakers tried to do some type of song/music thing, just not at the Classic Happening levels of the OG thread titles. then i think they just kinda devolved into something about the opponent, and now we're not even at the opponent.... we're at a singular/broken-down form of the opponent's name.

i reckon future threads will just be titled GAME (TONIGHT?) and then in the future it'll just be THREAD.... or maybe even, *gulps*, there will just be a rolling "blackhawks regular season" thread where ppl can add in their ~1-5 thoughts/quips/posts per game because there aren't even enough replies to warrant an individual thread for most regular season games (especially after this toews/kane/hossa/keith "dynasty" aka "championship window" finally [formally?] ends.... thats when tradition returns to chicago and all the "bandwagoners" who are really fans of "winning" > hockey can fuck right off and then the ~3-8 people here who actually like hockey can be the cool esoteric kids once again while someone somewhere is crooning IT'S THE CIRCLE OF LIFEEEEE!!!!)

Rozsival hasn't been bad in limited appearances. Not happy about Forsling getting scratched, but this is the calibre of opponent to get Roszival's work in.

Incidentally, Darling v. Markstrom was the goalie matchup when I watched Rockford play Utica in January of 2015.

Darling looked great in that overtime. The Hossa goal was simple but excellent.

Two more goals for Hossa will tie his 2015-16 tally. We're so lucky to have him back.
