One-timers: Quenneville called Dave Bolland "day-to-day" with a groin injury and expects the center to return in time for the playoffs. …
Carter Hutton was a healthy scratch but after Ray Emery's injury the rookie put on his uniform and served as Crawford's backup. NHL rules allow the use of an emergency goaltender if there are injuries. …
Other healthy scratches were Daniel Carcillo, Sheldon Brookbank, Brandon Bollig and Michael Frolik. Quenneville said Frolik was "resting."
Gonna miss having Emery available. It's gonna be interesting to see if he can be ready to go. I'm assuming he will not be because he came right out of that game after missing 2-3 games due to injury.
I'm quite nervous about having Hutton backing Crawford because of Crawford's recent injury history.
Thank christ there was no Carcillo. He's more useless than Frolike, who, apparently, after the stresses of scoring in 2 games all year, needed "rest".
"Rest" doesn't solve bad!
