I've watched the last couple games re-broadcast on NHL network, They show the Canadian broadcast. You can tell they cater to a more knowledgable viewer with all of the subtle things they point out. You can tell the NBC broadcast is really dumbed down and Doc screams and yells about plays the Canadian broadcaster is pretty much meh about. The NBC game 5 broadcast gave the viewer a much better idea of the electric atmosphere while the CBC broadcast had the stadium audio turned low, making it sound like a dull atmosphere.
Anyone else watch the two different broadcasts and notice the same things?

I noticed it when I watched the CBC's production of Game 5 with the Kings. People shit on Bob Cole for being a little daft in his old age ("everything is happening!"), but he's still way more on the ball than Doc Emrick inventing verbs and senselessly throwing words together.

I vastly prefer Canadian telecasts.

Where are you finding these replays? I don't have access to CBC on my tv, but when I watch highlights on youtube, it's vastly superior to NBC. I would take that in a heartbeat. The annoyance of having to resync the radio-tv after EVERY commercial break is irritating. But worth it to avoid the NBC crew.

I can't listen to the Canadian announcers. They're brutal.

Not true. I watched & listened to the Canadian replay & I got less X's & O's information from these 2 goofs than I usually get from Edzo.

One might think that if there is a more knowledgeable viewer than more x and o talk isn't necessary.

The camera work on the Canadian telecasts is way better.

Plus I like Don Cherry.
