By all accounts the Blackhawks are enjoying their visit to Notre Dame. The Compton Family Ice Arena is quite a place and boasts 2 sheets of ice.

Here's a look at the arena, in case anyone is interested:

Current A.D. Jack Swarbrick is the ideal man when it comes to going after facilities construction. He's fully aware that top-flight programs go hand-in-hand with first-rate athletics facilities, and a new basketball (practice) center is coming soon.

On a personal note, past ND Hockey Coach Lefty Smith was my handball instructor in the phys ed dept. at Notre Dame. Very nice guy. The rink shown above is named after him.

Contract expires after next season, and Leddy will surely rise to the second pairing with Hjalmarsson. I'd keep him on the roster for a while and then dangle him.

Time is approaching again for another Training Camp at ND.

Tickets go on sale this Monday if I'm not mistaken -- it gives a chance for parents in the SB area to take their kids to actually meet the hockey pros.
