Boy, that's a shit trade. Pirri asked for it, according to reports.

I don't think he's going to become a great star or anything but fuck man he will give you more than Versteeg, Handzus, and a host of others currently on the roster.

You should never trust the opinion of a player that he has of himself. He did not want to wait his turn on a dynasty team. He could be Gretzky or shit. Good luck.

That's a good return for an unproven prospect. But, if Q actually offered to coach him he'd be worth more. Oh well.

Pirri went 59th in 2009, the pick they're getting for him will probably be 62 or 63. Basically the Hawks get a mulligan. WHOOOOOA UNBELIEVABLE

EDIT: make that 61 or 62. New Jersey has to forfeit their first-round pick. Even better!

Well, that and they got another pick too.

Pirri refused to play both ends of the ice, that's not gonna work under Q. He'll be invisible in Florida.

It seems like all the Panthers' promising youngsters flame out on them. Alex Barkov might be for real, but now Jonathan Huberdeau can't play worth a damn.

Per Jay Z on this morning's Mac show, sounds like Pirri had a bit of an entitlement 'tude and didn't mesh well with the rest of the locker room.

What makes you say that? I didn't feel like he got a shot here.

If they would have traded him earlier would they have gotten more for him? The writing was on the wall for him for a while and it seemed everybody knew it.
