With the exception of the Blues game and the snow game, the Blackhawks have looked to be suffering from a post-cup, post-olympic break hangover. Not to worry. Tonight will be different. Can't see how Q doesn't light a fire under their collective asses. Penguins are without Malkin. Hawks win this in OT.

If Kane comes back with a brace and he is hampered, then absolutely. If he comes back at 80%, it still boils down to the role players flipping the switch. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt right up until they are down two games in the first round. Then I'll start to panic.

I think we are starting to see the impact on Crawford from all the time he played this season. Not getting a solid backup resulted in Crawford being overplayed early in the season after the short break following the cup run. He's deep in his net and I have a bad feeling he is going to get worse.
