Tonight, tonight,
Won't be just any night,
Tonight there will be no morning star.
Tonight, tonight, I'll see my love tonight.
And for us, stars will stop where they are.
Today
The minutes seem like hours,
The hours go so slowly,
And still the sky is light . . .
Oh moon, grow bright,
And make this endless day endless night!

Can't wait! I look forward to the season with you guys!

I am going to try to follow Hockey this season. Have the Hawks improved with the off-season moves?

i still have chelsea dagger flashbacks to that one sox/cubs game @ wrigley where they paraded the cup around. no bullshit they played that song at least 25 times throughout the course of the game.

in honor of the PTCD i suffer from i have changed my avatar to that of someone who is definitely down with bernstein's idyllic view of hockey as a sport that doesn't need fighting, just like los angeles! the weather is warm and the people is beautiful so they don't want any fighting to muck up their hockey! and hey

Yes.

Barring injuries, it's a two team race for the Cup this year between the Hawks and the Kings. Enjoy it this year because next season the window is going to open up for some other teams. This entire regular season is about staying healthy.

I do not pretend to be a hockey expert. I watch and enjoy the Hawks, but have limited knowledge. That being said...

From what i saw last season in the playoffs, the Hawks had 2 weaknesses:
1) Defense - Crawford is a good goalie, but not elite. He was too often left open with Kings players standing unattended in front of him. Too many open shots against him. Hawks simply didn't have the muscle to keep Kings players clear of him.

2) Power Play - Must Score more on Power play

Maybe they had injuries...IDK...all teams have injuries. What I do know is I don't see much of a big upgrade in defense, so it's hard for me to envision them making it to the Cup. I'd love to be wrong. Regardless, I love watching the games and look forward to a fun season.

Hawks were one goal away from going to the Cup last year, so it's not like they have a ton of holes. I agree with your thoughts on Crawford (defense in front of him too) and the power play. With the skill of this team, the power play should be a given. I would suggest to you that the power play struggles because of very poor entries. Often times the Hawks have trouble dumping in the puck while their forwards are going full speed. Once they are set-up, the power play generally works.

Penalty kill was worse than both.
