I miss the 2010 team. That team could be down 2+ and comeback. You knew they'd win a lot of the time. Fun to watch.

2013, too. They snatched a lot of games back. 2012, 2014, 2015, though, all those teams went down quietly in second-half games. Just a very low-effort team.

Less so in 2013 that season was short. Whatever year it was they went into a funk in March I feel like they never recovered. Like they said let's take these few months off every year and work our ass off in the playoffs.

2010 was when they went into a funk in March and then got it back together for the playoffs. 2012, 2014, 2015 they all quit in January. 2011, they were never good enough to have quit. But man, this team does a lot of quitting. We need to separate The Legend Of Toews from Actual Toews. We have this idea of him as this guy who never stops working hard, this stoic leader. Actually, he pouts like a bitch and takes himself out of games when he doesn't get his way, he's prone to double-digit game scoring droughts, he's presided after year after year of teams that don't give a fuck half the season, and he once got drunk and wrapped his car around an L support.

We need to accept some truths.
Hawks only have 3 good defensemen. Oduya, Rozsival and Runblad are just not that good.
Richards would be a disappointment if anyone expected anything from him in the first place, but he's basically a waste.
Sharp has been AWFUL this season.
Bickell is not good. Where has the big in front of the net presence been?
Shaw has been a drooling mess most of the season, and isn't getting anything done.
Saad isn't getting points like we expected.
When we're sitting here saying that getting Versteeg back should give them a shot in the arm we're really saying this roster has holes.

This team is filled with guys who are great at getting shots off, but they're all into the goalie's logo. Remember playing NHL '95? If you just pressed C you'd shoot right into the middle of the net, and that's what they've been doing, just pushing C and hoping for rebounds. No directional shooting. And, it seems like there's some Assists competition between players. No one wants to score, everyone wants to make that pretty pass.

And there's a perfect example of why I don't like Rundblad. Fuck takes a shot, misses the net, and is slow as FUCK to get back where he should be, and ends up tackling Sedin getting a penalty which isn't enforced because he managed to fuck himself after the penalty to the point where he couldn't play his position.
