what's this shit about Ladd being a game time decision cause his wife had a baby today????

That's some serious fucking bullshit, these people get paid way too much money to be taking personal days in the playoffs. Don't want to miss the birth of your kid? Simple solution, quit your $5,000,000 per year job and go work at Cipotle, I'm sure they will give you the night off.

Let's do this, mother fuckers!!!!!

By the way, bad thread title for game one!!!! Let's keep it simple for game 2. Something like "Game 2: Hawks vs Blues". Got it? Good. This thread is just bad optics.

Say, I just gave that chart a quick listen .... it's not bad .... sounds like Jet doing an impression of Mellencamp doing an impression of The Stones.

Don't you ever dare compare Wilco to Jet again or I'm gonna say things that would get me suspended from Twitter.

 Wilco is the Coldplay of the alt-county scene. I bet you strap on a braided belt and pleated Dockers and jam out to Aja once a month.

Now hold on .... let's all just be real careful when invoking Aja.

I go either way on this one but I give him a pass here. The baby isn't due til May 23 could be rough if his wife delivered now.

Blues will bring it in the 2nd. Do the regular season Hawks show up and be who many of us think they are? Or is the switch indeed flipped and they punch the Blues right in the mouth?

The Hawks dominated in shots, the Blues went on a penalty box parade, and no goals. Pretty demoralizing first period for the Hawks, one would have to think.

Get Mashinter the fuck out of this lineup by Friday. Play Weise or Panik; can't afford to burn a roster spot on some AHL chump.

The Mashinter love is the most confusing thing about this season. Bad hockey player. Weiss is too. Panik is decent.

I think they should plan for the kid to be born in the off season. Wear a condom otherwise. No condom if the kid will come in July through September. Why is that so hard?

But certainly make sure the kid isn't coming in the post season.

Gonna suck when the refs have to even up the penalties after the Blues' blatant transgressions (they didn't even bother calling the by-the-book two-minute unsportsmanlike against Parayko in order to avoid two minutes of five-on-three) and the Hawks get whistled for some gentle brushing.

I have what might be a dumb hockey question but I have nobody else to ask. Why on a penalty kill do the Hawks (and other teams) stay in that tight little square formation in in front of the net? What's the strategy there? Answers and ridicule welcome.

Ha! Hossa forechecking Elliot and slapping his stick behind Elliot."I'm coming behind you!" then cuts in front "ha the jokes on you. I'm coming in front of you!". Excellent play. Unlucky the Hawks couldn't score there.

Frustrating that Toews can't finish but its nice to see him all over the puck. Hossa and him are having good games.

I really want to see Ken Hitchcock holding an urn while on the bench, using it to motivate his players.
