First off, who the hell wants Kirk Ferentz fired? As a Cyclone fan, it pains me to say that he is the best coach in the state in any sport, and I would be willing to say he's the best coach in college pigskin today.

Second, I can't help but chuckle when I enter that url and get redirected to the UofI athletics site.

How did you get in here? I thought we shot the last Clone a while ago.

As a native Iowan, I grew up with the simple understanding: Iowa is where the stoners go and Iowa Straight is where the nerds go. Is that still the case?

Yeah, they bought it so you dont have another http://firestevealford.comon their hands someday

As a Hawk fan, I am biased but he's a good coach. I wish he wasn't so Jauron-esque with the way he handles his assistants with kid gloves.

From my time in Ames, I would have to agree...lots of nerds (self included) playing Starcraft for hours on end and then congregating to watch the replay.

However, we had our fair share of stoners too.

Iowa State was always a wierd mix of folks. We'd make a yearly trek to Veishea and you'd see a little bit of everything - farm boys, nerds, ugly chicks....
