Who is your favorite college football team?

It is a boring time for college sports so I am just seeing where allegiances are.

My team is obvious.

I certainly expect a lot of Illini and ND fans.

No-tre Dame, although the Smurf-Turfers will be getting a lot of love after the Fiesta Bowl.

It's tough for me to choose, but I have to go with the only place I spent time at, Iowa State. However, I will still be rooting for Oregon State and Duke.

I'm confused Irish Boy. Are you an Irish fan going to school at UofI? Undergrad ND or just a ND lifer from childhood?

Wait a minute. Irish Boy, you are a good little Illini? You're only 20, send that brandy over to me post haste, ND indeed.

I was introduced to football by my grandfather (pbuh), who was a Catholic Polish immigrant who learned about football (and English) through listening to ND games. He instilled that in me, although I must admit that I'm a much bigger Bears fan than I am Notre Dame fan. I came to Illinois because I liked their political science department, and because I could more easily afford it. I have a vestigial interest in seeing the Illini do well (I haven't seen a good Illini football team yet, and I graduate next year), but I don't swear at the TV over every turnover and dropped pass like I do when I watch Notre Dame. Its not a rational emotion, I admit.

No! There are lots of Suburban Irish Catholics that do not cheer for the golden domers.

Oh, memories...mostly good...some forgotten...some not so good. Breakfast Club. Good times.

Very rarely made it to Breakfast club. I'd imagine it to be pretty lame now that Tom's is gone. That whole place does not have the same feel to it though. I know I'm older and that makes a little different but the kids aren't as friendly. They kind of suck.
