Hard to believe 5 games in and not one single post about Illini football.

Michigan dude crashing into the Illini #8 was hilarious.

It’s beautiful ain’t it? The latest stat I saw is that about 3% of Chicagoland homes identify the Illini as their top college team. It hits double digits if you poll south of I-80.

Stats are from the College Research Bureau.

It went ND, Michigan, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Michigan State, then Illinois. Again, this is only for Cook County and its collar counties.

In practice it matches up with my lifelong experience in Chicagoland.

They almost lost to a UConn team led by a Greek QB from Montreal.

Fuck Lovie and the horse his Tampa 2 rode in on.

ND's #1 cuz of all the Purdue alums claiming allegiance to South Bend football.

Michigan State seems to have very little presence in Chicago from my perspective. I'd replace them with Iowa.

the good dolphin research bureau:

ND, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Northwestern

What is the college research bureau? It doesn't seem to exist.

There is no way NW is ahead of Illinois. MSU highly unlikely as well. Iowa over MSU.

Just intercepted #6 wisconsin and now have the ball looking to take the lead. Wow!

Terrible. They reached the 25 and then gave up, running the ball meekly 3 times.

Kicker is gonna miss this.

40 yr old fg's are not gimmes in college

Supposedly the Packers guy is moving the outing to the Bulls game to an Illini game. You can just smell the #illinifever from here.

"According to Bob Asmussen of the Champaign News-Gazette, former Illinois head coach Lou Tepper is here today for the Homecoming game."

Supposedly, the throngs in the student section could feel his presence...
