Purdue @ Michigan -5.5... Purdue's offensive threat was shown to be neutralized by a strong D. Fortunately for the Boilermakers, Mich doesn't have one. Take the points and pick Purdue.

Minnesota @ NU -7... Minnesota is that bad and NU is starting to show signs of life... at least on offense that is. Give the points and pick daaaa CATS.

Wisconsin @ Penn State -6.5... I'm convinced Morrelli is overrated. Wisco is not as tough as we all thought, but certainly more well rounded on defense to make the game pretty close. I think it is pick 'em game because Happy Valley is a tough place to play. Take the points and pick Wisco.

Illinois -3.5 @ Iowa ... As poor as Iowa's record is, Kinnick is a very VERY tough place to play. This is the first away game that will have a legit threat on the other side of the ball. I think the spread is correct, although some will say Illini should be favored by more. I'll toss a coin and say Illini covers. Give the points and pick Illini.

Indiana @ MSU -4.5... Dantonio is a good enough coach to see that the defense adjusts for this week's game. And the offense has proven it can score. Indiana is due for a let down. Give the points and pick the Spartans.

Kent State @ dOSU -30.5... Damn. Damn damn DAMN! 30 points is usually my college football cut off. The Buckeyes can easily score that much on KSU. But Tressle will do the classy thing and pull his starters. Basically, I'm betting that Laranitus will shut down the KSU offense and Ohio State will score 5 touchdowns in the first half. Give the points and pick the Buckeyes.

I think Purdue is running into the tough part of schedule. While I am not convinced that Michigan is ready to climb back to the top of the ladder in the Big Ten this year, the tune up against EMU seemed to get some kinks out the Wolverines. Lay the 5.5 and take Michigan.

Quote:
Minnesota @ NU -7

Minnesota sucks. Northwestern plays a similar spread offense and should be able to move the ball at will against the Gophers. Lay the 7 and take NU.

Quote:
Wisconsin @ Penn State -6.5

Wisconsin looked disinterested in the first half against Illinois. They put together a tremedous effort to even be in that game in the second half but saw the winning streak come to an end. This week, the losing streak stops. Take the 6.5 and the Badgers.

Quote:
Illinois -3.5 @ Iowa

Key stat of the game. Illinois has 20 sacks and Iowa has given up 25. Lay the 3.5 and take the Illini.

Quote:
Inidiana @ MSU -4.5

New coach, same old MSU. Indiana looks for real and while this is a step up in class, with a win they guarantee a bowl trip for the Hoosier faithful. Give me the 4.5 and Indiana.

Kent State @ dOSU -30.5

OSU is an interesting team. They never seem to roll on lower competition. I'll take Kent State with the 30.5

Michigan -5.5 vs. Purdue
-It is time for the Boilermakers to surprise me

Minnesota +7 vs NU
-This game will be close

Penn State -6.5 vs Wisconsin
Wisconsin has not looked good all season, kind of like Erin Andrews

Illinois -3.5 vs. Iowa
The Illini are for real

MSU -4.5
The Hoosiers are not for real(but will make it to a decent bowl)

Kent State +30.5 vs OSU
Quite frankly, OSU won't care enough to win by more than 25

Here is another interesting piece of information. Purdue has not won at Ann Arbor in about 40 years.

That is worse than what they were looking at going to Notre Dame in 2004, where they hadn't won in 30 years.

Purdue football was terrible for about 30 years. Luckily for me, my freshman year of college they went to the Rose Bowl so my timing was good.

While I think Iowa gets taken behind the woodshed tomorrow, I heard a rumor that ESPN is planning to be in Champaign should Illinois and OSU win tomorrow. I've seen these rumors before and teams involved lose and OSU sure as hell aint going to lose to Kent State. The pink locker room could strike (and this is a hell of a trap game for the Illini).

I had a hard time picking against the Hawkeyes. But after last week, I don't know. It does have all the signs of a trap game. And like I said before, Iowa City is not an easy place to play... it's also not an easy place to find a decent dentist, but that is another story.

At least Purdue and Iowa don't have to worry about that for next weeks game.

How I did this week... in a word, HORRIBLE. My first losing week.

Purdue @ Michigan -5.5... Take the points and pick Purdue. Oooops

Minnesota @ NU -7... Give the points and pick daaaa CATS. Oooops Cats once again, swiss cheese D... Lesson learned... never pick'em if they are favored.

Wisconsin @ Penn State -6.5... Take the points and pick Wisco. Ooops Morelli is an enigma to me.

Illinois -3.5 @ Iowa ... I'll toss a coin and say Illini covers. Give the points and pick Illini. Ooooops I can never frickin' figure out this Iowa team. Every frickin' week I get them wrong.

Indiana @ MSU -4.5... Give the points and pick the Spartans. Cha-Ching

Kent State @ dOSU -30.5... Give the points and pick the Buckeyes. Cha-Ching

Two factors that I didn't give enough respect to... playing in Iowa City (pink locker room effect) and playing in Happy Valley (not so Happy for the opponent).
