http://hawkcentral.com/apps/pbcs.dll/ar ... 1053/HAWKS EAST LANSING, Mich. — Starting linebacker SirDarean Adams, starting cornerback T.J. Williams and one other Michigan State football player have been charged with unarmed robbery stemming from an April incident at a store. Adams, Williams and reserve Jeremy Ware each were arraigned Wednesday in 55th District Court in Mason on a felony robbery charge, the court said, and Williams also was charged with misdemeanor assault and battery. The court record didn't indicate whether they entered pleas or were represented by lawyers, but a pretrial hearing was set for Oct. 30 on the robbery case. Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio said in a statement that didn't name the players that they have maintained their innocence. He said the team was notified in April about the case and has monitored the situation. Dantonio said the players will remain on the roster and continue to have the opportunity to play. ``In fairness to the student-athletes alleged to have been involved in the incident, the prudent decision is to allow the legal process to continue to run its full course and for the truth to be determined,'' Dantonio said. |

SirDarean?? Where the hell do parents come up with these fucking names?? Yes, I heard the guy call in to MJH and explain that "JamesOn" is a tribute to grandparents James and Leon. In my opinion, these parents should have their heads examined for being more stupid than stupid. |

I'm more wondering why you play kids the week after they've been arrested for a felony. Not to be a naive person, but most schools would suspend them indefinitely, not just say oh well, let them play. |

I have a pretty positive impression of D'Antonio. I think he's kinda forced into "innocent until proven guilty" unless he knows something more tangible about the situation. I don't envy his position. |

So what you're saying is if this happened at NU, you'd think it was alright for Fitz to let the kids play? I disagree - it promotes a bad culture....you have to at least suspend for a half or something to prove a point that you can't even get involved in situations like this. If these kids were reserves, I bet he'd suspend them. Kirk doesn't take much - he suspended indefinitely the two receivers involved in a felony charge, kicked off two kids this year for getting arrested and has another situation that if it happens, I'm very curious how he will handle it. |
