Jim Tressel and Pete Carroll now have identical records at their schools. Both are now 71-14 in 7 years. That's almost an exact 10-2 average record per season. Not bad at all... Over the next two seasons, the Bucks and Trojans will meet on the field to settle this matter in a home/away series starting in 2008. |

I think it's interesting in that Carrol seems to get more accolades than Tressel. I would think Tressel would be a better NFL coach yet Carrol is the one who gets constant pushing. |

I don't know why either one of them would ever want to go to the NFL (or in Carroll's case, back) considering they can stay right were they are and be legends with what they've done and probably will continue to do. I also agree that Tressel doesn't get nearly enough credit, and I think a lot of that is anti-Big 10 bias. |

It's part the anti-big ten bias and two, didn't USC have a stretch of bad seasons before Pete Carroll got there? OSU was not national title worthy with John Cooper but they didn't suck and miss bowl games either. |
