Ordered my tickets today! Most inexpensive bowl game I'll ever go to(unless they create a Chicago Bowl).

Hope I don't get shot.

Have you been hiding in shame or something for losing the bucket? At least you are going to a bowl!

Not really hiding in shame. I'm certainly not happy with the direction of the program but I've been busy. Sports have dominated my weekends since August.

It's nice to go to a bowl and it's nice that I'll be saving lots of money by not flying to the Insight Bowl but losing to Indiana is something that should never happen.

I've come to the realization that the Purdue football team that I watched while I was in school isn't coming back until we get a new coach and even that is guaranteed and I don't donate enough money to have an impact on the decision makers.

Well, we beat them pretty good earlier in the season. The biggest problem is that it is going to be tough to get motivated to beat a MAC team you already beat earlier in the season.

If we hadn't played them earlier in the season, I would expect a win. Now I am not so sure.

I think it's not hard to motivate a team for a bowl game, but I guess if you don't respect the team your playing you won't get motivated but might get embrassed then.

I can see an International Bowl in your future.

It shouldn't be but I have a strong feeling that CMU will play harder because of the revenge factor. I hope I'm wrong and Purdue should win but after seeing two uninspiring performances to end the season I don't have my hopes up.

As for the International Bowl, one can only hope. The only thing better than Detroit in December is Canada in December.

Take a look again, my friend. They play the International Bowl in January, sometime between the New Year's games and the championship game.

ESPN has International bowl on Jan. 5th, Rutgers vs. Ball State in Toronto. Where are you seeing something different GD?

Oh yeah, my mistake. I can always hope for a January day in Canada.

Might as well post my review.

Detroit is an interesting place. Three land based casinos right in the middle of downtown. Didn't make it to any of them since I had already had a lot of fun.

Ford Field is really nice. I may go up there for a Bears game at some point.

Beers were 8.50 or 10 dollars! I may have spent more on beer and food than I did for the tickets.

The game was really exciting. Central Michigan had more fans but Purdue actually brought a pretty good crowd. I think the fact that it cost about 1/10th of any other bowl game for midwestern Boilermaker fans helped.

I recommend going to this game if you team is involved but if you are a Big Ten team you may have to wait a while. I see another Motor City Bowl in Purdue's future next year.
