It's just asinine. They fought tooth and nail for the entire football and hoops season only to reach a deal the week of the conference basketball tourney? At any rate, they probably should have waited until closer to football season to strike a deal and had big news for football fans. I can't wait to see how much comcast has to shell out per subscriber. |

Even with this addition, comparing the total packages from both, you still get a lot more sports (and movies) for less $$ with Direct TV. Comcast still doesn't have the 40 some local/regional sports channels and with Comcast, you can't buy the full March Madness package or NFL Sunday Ticket. |

But I haven't so now I will be happy. I've experienced too much interference with Dish/Direct so I have been waiting. |

Did anyone notice recently that Comcast had taken away most of the west coast feeds to their premium channels. I would've d-bagged them on that, but I downgraded my package a while back. I wonder if this has anything to do with the BTN deal in some way? For instance, if they are to add this high priced channel to the regular lineup, drop some of the other channels? I don't know... |

As long as i'm not forced to pay for it on basic or expanded cable. It should be on the sports-tier package, which costs extra. I don't blame Comcast one bit for holding out. Big Ten was making ridiculous demands. |

I've heard this talk before about a deal being close, and then nothing happens. At this point, I don't even care if they strike a deal before football starts in August/September. |

Because I have DIRECTV, I'm very fortunate to have the Big Ten Network, now on DIRECTV 610. You're not alone in your frustration. Many cable systems, not just here, but around the Midwest where the BTN is supposed to provide 24/7 coverage of the conference in football, basketball & other sports, many cable systems have been reluctant & slow to add the network to its lineup. The same holds true for NFL Network, which is still only available in about 40 million U.S. homes, despite intervention from ESPN in hopes of making the channel more accessible. The cable systems contend that if they added the BTN and/or NFLN, Joe Consumer might end up paying more. |
