Michigan over Iowa Penn State over Illinois- Penn State is playing well, but they aren't at home. I don't know how well they will do on a neutral court. Minnesota over Northwestern Friday: Wisconsin over Michigan MSU over Ohio State Purdue over Penn State Indiana over Minnesota-this game will be closer than it should be Saturday: Wisconsin over MSU Purdue over Indiana-I haven't been more confident for any game this year. Purdue wins this one. In the first meeting, Purdue had it's worst shooting performance in the Big Ten and still had a shot. Sunday: Wisconsin over Purdue-This will be a good close fought game but I think that Wisconsin finds a way to beat Purdue for the first time this year. Ohio State doesn't make the tournament MSU gets a 5 seed Indiana gets a 4 seed Purdue gets a 3 seed Wisconsin gets a 2 seed. |

I'm taking the 5th... unless of course that snowball does have a chance in that really hot place down south. |

NU basketball would force me to drink a 5th of vodka also. We feel your pain. |

This, of course, is just for show. Illinois will win it all and make yet another Big Dance. It's like you are a psychic. Anyway, I think it's 2008 and not 1999. |

I should have read this thread yesterday. What a joke Lickliter is. Ok. I'll leave it alone. One hostile post on this board about that dolt is enough. I do wish I had the power to put a red line through Vince's avatar though. I like you Vince. The man behind your avatar? Not so much. |

And from my second favorite blog firebillcarmody.com... "At least we have her to look forward to... that's right: the one, the only, Erin Andrews will be blessing espn2 with her presence tomorrow afternoon as the 'Cats get run by the Gophers. relax, i'm not about to turn this into an EA fan site, but what else am i supposed to talk about? how about the fact that Minnesota scored a total of 174 points on us in two games this season. or that we've won 3 of our last 20 games. or maybe that NU under Carmody is a cumulative -101 points in ten conference tournament games; a number even more startling considering that three of those games were victories. no, i think instead i'll just hope that there is a problem with the scoreboard or a referee controversy or perhaps a horrible, game-delaying injury that will allow everyone's favorite sideline reporter as much camera time as possible." |

I like you Vince. The man behind your avatar? Not so much. Coast - we've been down this road before. I am holding judgement at least one more season. That team they had on the floor couldn't beat a good team at the Y. He's got a good group of recruits coming in next year so I expect improvement. If it was alford, he would have been 10-20. |

I know Vince. I respect that. Nice Mud. Actually I learned my lesson betting on a carmody team several years ago. I finally learned that lesson about Lickliter today. And Mud, Lickliter is different because I am a born and bred Hawkeye fan. I didn't go to school there, but I spent so much time there I probably was on campus more than some students. I am old enough to remember the undefeated Hawkeyes of the 60s with Ralph Miller, Lute's final four of 1980, the talented but under-achieving Raveling teams, and the good Dr. Tom teams. This is the worst Iowa team and worst coaching job I can remember in the 45 years I have followed them. I feel your pain. |

Is it wrong to think your team needs a loss late to help with a run in the Big Dance? I'd rather see them drop one to Purdue than bow out early in the Dance. |

I'd rather see them drop one to Purdue than bow out early in the Dance. I think it would only really help if they lost on Saturday and give them an extra day of rest. I don't think losing in the championship game would do much to refocus the team. At least in Purdue's case, they've lost recently enough. Hopefully Purdue is able to fulfill your wish. |

It reminds me of how Hayden left things bare for Kirk. Hi Erin. Wow. |

What is this "Big Dance" you all speak of? As for Iowa... Alford ain't lookin' so bad right now. Or at least a 24-7 record... I know it's the Mountain West conference, but hey... GO LOBOS!) Honest question... we were having this argument in the office. Do Hawkeye fans consider it a B-Ball school first or a Football school? Just curious. |

Honest question... we were having this argument in the office. Do Hawkeye fans consider it a B-Ball school first or a Football school? Just curious. 1, Alford inherited a good team at New Mexico. He wasn't stupid. He knew this year was going to suck at Iowa and knew he'd probably be gone with a poor season so he took the best available position which was NM and went there. He's got a roster full of JRs and SRs (4 each) I'm convinced now that he is best suited to the mid major jobs, not bigger schools. 2. Iowa is an interesting school. I would say based on recent success, it's a football school but in reality, Hawkeye fans are as passionate about hoops as they are football. It's the only show in town in Eastern Iowa so the fans are very passionate but if I had to nail them down to one sport, it would be football. |

Iowa is a wrestling school. NU is a women's lacrosse school. Purdue is a women's basketball school. |
