In other "Who Cares" women's sports.....

The Chicago Force are really kickin' ass this year. 8)

They're in the playoffs. I've done camera for some of their games (button 48) at Evanston High School....Home of the Wildkits. :? What's the deal with Wildkits?

Anyway, Andy Garcia, former Score producer is the play by play with Pam Somethinerother. Most of the games have been boring as hell blowouts. The Force just hand off to #87 Smith....she is a Behemoth! They hardly ever even try kicking extra points. Just about every time they score, they go for two by running her up the middle. I don't recall a time that the opposition has stopped her.

It's a ferocious animal that rips the heads off Trevians.

Honestly have no idea what sport the Force plays? Never heard of them?

Guessing attendance at the Little League Monday Night game of the week gets more fans?

Eaglo, it's a NT v EVANSTON thing

Yep.....I learned from Pappy that I need to google some stuff.

Apparently it's the WFA or something like that....apparently been around for about 10 years or so. They play the same pro style of game, pads, hitting, tackling.....not much passing and most passes are ducks.
http://www.wfafootball.com/

And yeah, attendance is probably less than most little league games. There's usually nobody on the visitor's side, literally. Whatever...still get paid for now. 8)

    I forgot how much of a blowout week 3 was vs. Indy.......almost the same score as the biggest blowout in NFL Bears/Redskins 73-0 blowout in 1940.

So who does The Sky broadcasts? Is Kenny McReynolds involved in that?

Edit:
http://www.gameoftheweekcps.com/bios.php

Not sure from this, but I noticed on his bio that he's to embarrassed to include the Gary Steelheads from back in the day when WYIN/56 used to do the broadcasts.....that was rough, but fun.

Kenny Mac is fun bad. He does some high school football games on some obscure local comcast cable channels & it is priceless.

Remember when he was a DePaul assistant? I also like the way he pronounces "Bruce Woof".

NEW TRIER!

http://www.chicagomag.com/Chicago-Magazine/September-2009/The-Secret-Life-of-Teens-A-Special-Report/index.php?cparticle=3&siarticle=2

“New Trier loves drugs,” said 18-year-old Heather. “You know how in The Breakfast Club, there is the stoner, the preppy, the jock? Here, everybody smokes pot. The AP kids do it; the not-so-smart kids do it. The jocks do it. The people with money get into prescription pills, cocaine—those things are more accessible because they have money. But everybody smokes pot.”

It might be hard for some of the younger guys to believe, but in the late 70s/early 80s Evanston Township High School had a smoking section on the front lawn facing Dodge. Every burnout in the school would sit out there. They also had a policy where you could have 13 unexcused absences so people didn't even go to class a lot of the time. This shit was straight out of Dazed and Confused. Except they had better cars.

This is what the smoking section looked like, though these few guys don't really do it justice.

I don't think it's just New Trier. This sounds like pretty much every high school I've ever heard anyone talk about.
