Post subject:  Hey MUD

Going to Iowa City this weekend? Got a prediction?

In the words of Clubber Lang... "I PREDICT PAIN!"

If Tate's back, then my Mildcats will lose by at least two touchdowns. I think if we keep our hands on the ball (no turnovers), it could get alot closer.

I'd love to see the new Kinnick, but 4 kids under the age of 5 and a hormonal wife suggest it would be suicide to attempt the trip to beautiful Iowa city.

I'm not sure if you are aware of this tradition on the Iowa Rivals' board, but it is frickin' awesome. Its a similar thing to the MJH Love parents. Iowa fans take players, Alumni, and coaches and find what famous people they look like. They did it for NU this week and I thought they were hilarious!!

MUD - I do take a look at the rivals board - there are some good ones this week. :-)

I'll be out there - last game of this season for me. Wife is just working on #2 so we weren't sure if she could make the trip two weeks in a row so I sold those tickets to a buddy of mine.

I will say the new Kinnick is a sight to behold. I just wish they had more johns. The Coors Light from the tailgates runs out fast.

I didn't make my prediction. I'm assuming the NU uses the spread this week. Iowa 27 NU 13

Line looks like 19.5 pts. Wouldn't disagree with that if Tate is healthy. I KNOW Iowa wants revenge for last year.

I'm guessing MUD is sitting in his living room watching this game and thinking how NW SHOULD be up 24-0 right now.

Wow, Iowa lays another egg.

Hell, they laid a dozen or so. That was the first time in the Kirk Ferentz era that I felt Iowa was unmotivated and unprepared. See you in San Antonio hawkeyes.

Well, I am somewhat encouraged by what I saw from the Cats, but I gotta say that Iowa looked pretty darn listless. They made our defensive front men as well as our O-line look like NFL recruits. I still love Ferentz, and I'd prefer to have him over Fitz... however, I'm really glad Fitz got a BIG 10 win since the guy was looking like the NCAA poster boy for Murphy's Law.

Some highlights for those who missed the game:

On to Ohio State... any Buckeyes on this board? What's the line 4,000 to 1? Bring it on, and take the points!

Hey MUD, I saw the game and want to forget it. :-) The Cats came out full of life and earned that win. I don't know if Iowa was looking ahead to Wisconsin or just are second guessing themselves right now.

Iowa getting beat down on Saturday, the Bears getting drubbed yesterday. This was a tough weekend.

It's been a long season. I don't think Tate was ever 100% after his abdominal strain. One thing to be particularly proud of is that the fan base really is impressive. I've never seen a ESPN College Gameday telecast like the Iowa/dOSU game. Bumblebee colors in full force. You guys show up big. Wish I could say the same about the 5 true Wildcat fans.

The Hawkeye fans are among the loudest and most loyal around. Unfortunately, I think the fanbase is becoming similar to Cubs fans -> win something big every few years and we'll be happy.

My wife told me no for our second child (on the way). No to Kinnick, No to Hayden, No to Kirk. :-)

Congrats... I got some good advice for bringing children to the game. Bundle up the infants and bring em along. Much easier than a 1 or 2 year old. When they are 4 years old they can stand to be there more than 2 quarters. They even may make it through the whole game if you feed them lots of candy/popcorn. Afternoon games are the best... don't try night games until they are seven.

We have 4 kids under the age of 5 (no twins)... talk about Irish quadruplets. Gotta go see a man about a sharp knife.

You, Stu, Nas and Coast should form a Potent Sperm Club. Make sure to send an honorary application to Urlacher.

Wow - that and you are VERY CATHOLIC. :-)

I got one daughter, 2 going on 27 and one on the way (it's very early so you never know what's going to happen). We haven't taken my daughter to a game yet. I actually am thinking of taking her to the Iowa spring game this year. They do autographs for the kids, take picture with Herky and a light game. I figure it's in April and if she is bored, I can waste the rest of the day in Iowa City which isn't a bad alternative.
