From my buddy's wife:

A friend of mine was brutally assaulted this past weekend by a cab driver. He was middle aged man of Middle Eastern or Indian decent driving a red cab. She was found by the police early Monday morning near Clark and Devon, where the attacker had dumped her unconscious, naked body. She suffered a broken pelvis among many other minor injuries.

Her boyfriend posted a warning about this cab driver on REDDIT.com and shortly thereafter, many other women came forward claiming they had also been attacked by the driver of a red cab fitting his description.

Please be careful and warn the women in your life about this man so they can avoid a similar tragedy.

Hopefully the cops read reddit since none of these women went to the cops.

Also, considering that probably about 1% of the women in Chicago read reddit, and we know that at least 3 people have been assualted by him on reddit, this means this guy has gotten at least 300 people.

Might be a suburban company. Burb cab companies aren't allowed to pick up fares inside the city limits.

They described the cabbie as Middle Eastern or Indian. Way to narrow that one down for us.

the obvious answer here is to require that all women carry firearms at all times.

think of how awesome that'd be... if every time you went to a bar and aimed to spit game at chicks you knew they were packing heat so if there was a certain level of bullshit reached, BLAM, she possesses the unique ability to end your life right on the spot.

Not 100 percent true. You can call a suburban cab company to pick you up in the city but a suburban company can't take a flag fare inside the city (Flag fare is when you hail a cab on the street).

If I plan to get a cab from the city home to Park Ridge I always call Park Ridge taxi to come and get me. It's much less expensive.
