Frank's post reminded me that I've been meaning to post this.

I've recently been working part-time for a woman who is a Medical Claims Advocate. Basically, you hire her, give her all of your insurance information, then send her everything related to your medical situation that you have and continually, as you receive it (bill, claims, etc). She'll go over all of your info and make sure that you're paying only what you really owe. She really knows the insurance industry.

I know some of you have special-needs kids and I now know what a nightmare it must be dealing with insurance companies on their behalf. She handles a lot of delicate and difficult insurance situations like that.

She charges hourly for the service and makes a point of letting you know that you aren't charged for time we spend sitting on hold (which is A LOT).

I only post this here because before I started working for her, I had no idea that anything like this existed. I've learned a lot in the short time I've been there (I have unfortunately paid too much on some bills... :( ).

I highly recommend this service for everyone...from those with difficult insurance situations to those with more straight-forward ones.

Check out her site: www.promediclaim.com

Let me know if you're interested or if you have any questions.

As a side-note, her service is also great for people with older parents with Medicare and/or supplements, Rx, etc. It relieves the burden of you having to figure it out for yourself.

Actually it's great to know there's advocates vs. health insurance companies. I loath health insurance companies since both my wife and I are self employed. We pay something like $650.00/month for coverage. I might be sending you a PM in the future Killa.

Thanks Killer. It's good to know this is out there if I need it.
