Buy Foreigner CDs, help Mooseheart
Portions of the in-house CD sales of the rock band Foreigner on Sunday, August 24, at the Paramount Theatre will be donated to Mooseheart Child City & School.
Foreigner is known for such classic hits as: Cold As Ice, Hot Blooded, Urgent, Jukebox Hero, and Waiting for a Girl Like You. Its latest CD is called No End in Sight/The Very Best of Foreigner features the band's classic hits plus an acoustic version of one song and two live recordings which were performed just two years ago.
During the evening of the concert, volunteers will be walking through the venue selling Foreigner CDs for $20 each. Five dollars from each CD sold at the Paramount will go to the Mooseheart organization. In addition, for every CD purchased, patrons will receive a raffle ticket which enters them into a drawing to win a signed Les Paul guitar and an opportunity for the winner and one guest to meet Foreigner after the show.
Mooseheart Child City & School is a residential childcare facility, located on a 1,000-acre campus 38 miles west of Chicago. The Child City is a home for children and teens in need. Dedicated in July 1913 by the Moose fraternal organization, Mooseheart cares for youth whose families are unable, for a wide variety of reasons, to care for them. Some have lost one or both parents; others are living in environments that are simply not conducive to healthy growth and development. Whatever the reason, the men and women of the Moose furnish the resources necessary to care for children in need. The Moose fraternity provides children with a wholesome home-like environment and the best possible training and education.
