I’ve met MANY here. I don’t know anybody’s real name.

From experience on one of the travel-related boards I've been on for over 15 years, I'm lucky if I remember one person's real first name afterward. I have good friends where it took 10-15 times of having dinner for me to remember what the fuck their last name was.

It's most common to use people's bored names ... I've heard FF's name 100 times and I just don't often remember it so it's basically 'Farve' or some derogatory one-off word (but that can and will be for anyone). As far as I'm concerned, it's whatever the person's preference is really.
