I thank those that attended for a nice time ... as I've said I don't get out much, so this was a pleasant departure, even if I did have to wear pants more than I typically do on a Sunday.

I should also mention that there was one small spill but FF was NOT the culprit ... it was a magical moment.

You missed it Don. As Jorr and Sam were leaving I knocked over an empty water glass. The universe wasn’t letting me leave this outing without fulfilling my destiny.

Well I did my part to change fate because I didn't bring along the iPad this time.

Not gonna lie ... having another hot toddy right now, albeit homemade with better whiskey. Me likey.

The hot toddy sounded solid

Gotta lay my hands on some Angostura but a little clove and straight cinnamon help in its absence.

Gotta find a coffee mug that keeps shit hot for a while ... that mug they had was magic or something.

Shoulda stole it. I doubt they’d miss it. Or you could’ve just put it on dennis’s tab

Glorious outing....transcended shitty wait service and poorly placed TVs. Great meeting everyone.
Went home and was still in serviceable condition to hang blinds and complete the outdoor lights on my Diet Pulte home.

Look forward to another outing in the future.

Yup, great to meet both of you guys.

Btw, Caddyshack is a very nice place. Food was excellent. Had the chicken breast, which tasted like a home cooked meal.

You think?

My experience was middling. Maybe I'll give it another shot.

The food was very good. The place was lively too. I was pleasantly surprised. Nice to meet you too. Sucks that our Hawks blew another one....sigh.

Speaking of the shitty wait service, what'd you goons say to young Dorothea to frighten her into showing up twice an hour?

Thankfully I was relegated to only listening during my journey out to Sugar Grove and back to The Bubble. I got home just in time to turn it off for OT.

Kinda like turning the bulls off after the third quarter. It's just a more enjoyable experience.

I got snippy with her when I wanted to pay cash as I went, and then she said she could only run a tab. I was unclear whether she could do separate tabs, which ended up being ok.

Then she said they were out of Miller Lite. When I asked for Bud, she asked if I wanted a glass or was the bottle ok. I volleyed back with, “do you have bottles?”

So my fault.

Ahhh, the old separate tabs table. Buncha d-bags.

Although, with these newfangled handheld POS devices, separate tabs becomes a breeze.

Sounds like a fun time and a nice turnout.

I'll do better planning on my end next time an event like takes place so I can attend.

You were not that snippy, nor that difficult. It took her (or anyone else) forever to even approach our table to get started.

The female waitstaff must have been intimidated by that enormous mix of middle-aged testosterone and low-dose ED medication from the collective attendees.

I only wanted a separate tab or paygo because I was leaving early. She was not picking up on my sarcasm either.

We missed Frank and Chet. But it was nice to see the Hawk. He was in military garb and doing well with his walker.

I just wanted to be sure to cover my tab and not stick it to the folks who were hanging out longer.

That is not her fault. Poor inventory management.

Miller Lite sucks, but I get that its a staple that no bar should ever be out of. I can understand having an issue with a keg or the tap, but then have it in bottles or even cans for chrissake.

Not her fault, but it speaks to how poorly run that place is. TV situation was weak too. But we had a nice turnout, so it worked out well.

Yeah it was noted by FF that I drink shitty beer. I accept that.

At a solid 7, she was the cutest of the servers too. Gotta do better than that in Rosemont.

I would bet the remains of the RAM Restaurant & Brewery are running on fumes and near extinction.

Location itself worked well. Still a great time.

and yes....she was a 7 at best.

She did walk right up when I got there...even had a snappy remark for me...I thought she was gonna be great. Then after that first cocktail, you couldn't even waive to get her attention. She was not busy either. I hate that shit.

Thirded on the TV situation there. So shortsighted. Shitty and smallish projection screen over the bar and very small(for the space) screens poorly located around the place. Almost like TVs were an afterthought.

I don't need to go back there.

Drink and eat what you like. No shame in drinking Miller Lite or putting ketchup on a hotdog.
