I'm a whiskey guy and not a HUGE beer drinker. It's safe to say that I will probably leave fairly sober.

Yeah, I wouldn't be opposed to changing the location.

It's a brewery.

I've been to places with on-site breweries that have more than plebian beer .... and I don't get out much.

Well there should certainly be other establishments in DG if we wish to change venue . A little further east in Western Springs theres the Hillgrove Tap right next to the tracks that I’ve heard good things about

Ok, 16th it is. Now we need to agree on a venue.

Places near the area of the original venue:

Evviva (Lisle train station, essentially, plenty of parking on weekends, hot wait staff)
Next Whiskey Bar (Downtown Lisle by train station, never been there, name says enough, but they have craft beer)
Tilted Kilt (Woodridge, Seven Bridges complex)
Tap House Grill (Cass Ave.)
Ballydoyle (Downtown Downers)
Roundhead's (NEW Location: 75th & Fairview)

Then there are the Naperville mainstays:
The Lantern
Jimmy's Grill
Hugo's

Take your pick or write in others. Evviva is my leader in the clubhouse for a new venue, as it offers plenty of parking for a Saturday, has a full bar of craft beers (Zombie Dust last time I was there) and liquor, good food and plenty of TV's. The only downside is that it can get a little loud, but hey.

The prices are staggering (to me anyway) but my eye was quickly drawn to the Whisky bar, but that's not at all to say the others are no good.

Yeah $12 cocktails for a storefront in downtown Lisle is a little much. Their beer prices aren't outrageous, though. But Evviva and NWB are down the street from one another, so we could get a little mini-crawl going, or go to NWB for a nightcap.

If we're doing a bar crawl then bring a rickshaw so you can drag me up and down the streets of Lisle or wherever. I'll pay for your every other glass of ice water.

New Whiskey Bar has a pretty good poutine. Evivva has excellent pizza.

If you go, tell Jimmy...ah... never mind...

We also need to plan this out so it's not totally awkward: Board names or are we using real names?

I've always referred to everyone by their board name when I've met in real life.

Awkward bord meetup story... was meeting a few guys for golf and I went to the range first to hit a few. There was another guy by himself and I assumed he was CFMB. I went up and introduced myself "hey I'm hank from the board, who are you?" He looked very confused so I had to ask if he was from the board and then he looked even more confused so I mumbled an apology and slunk back to the pro shop until I found the guys. I think he thought that a murder or some gay stuff was about to go down. He was half right.....RIP WZ's 7 iron and that crow.

If I remember your name I'll call you by it. That's usually the case for people I've hung out with a few times.

It's most common to use people's bored names ... I've heard FF's name 100 times and I just don't often remember it so it's basically 'Farve' or some derogatory one-off word (but that can and will be for anyone). As far as I'm concerned, it's whatever the person's preference is really.

Ill be severely disappointed as I believe you're above such contrivances if your first name isnt indeed, Don.
