That was really good - loved it. And Doug, who are we kidding? We Irish drink with the best of 'em. I always laugh when I see 'respectable' Irish complaining about how they are portrayed, but among our own its a running joke in my experience. Back to the show though - catch it on NBC.com or the 'encore presentation' (network speak for re-run) on Thursday at 9p I believe. Only two commercial breaks, so you can't complain about that. Try to keep up with the story-telling though, its a bit annoying for the first few minutes, but you are used to it and even like it as it goes on, especially when you get to the last 5 minutes. |

So they're called Black but they're really White? Was it followed by reruns of Hello Larry?! (that's a Holmes joke) |

Black Irish is a traditional term believed to have originated in the United States that commonly ascribes to a dark brown or black hair phenotype appearing in persons of Irish descent. |

Pretty good show. Great ending! I realize he's the narrator, but Joey Ice Cream is a blabbermouth. A rat, almost. |

You mean this show is still on the air? |

Yep - Monday's at 9 PM on NBC. My only thing is NBC gets these kind of shows and they don't make it on standard TV because they have to tone down the violence and language. Good example was the show Empire - loved that show but it would have been kick ass and still going on HBO. |

I'm hoping the show tanks...only because it took the spot of my beloved "Studio 60"...I swear I'm the only person who actually liked that show. |

Nope, I'm right with you Homeslice. Problem is, the majority of Americans are too ignorant in being able to sniff out what's a good TV show. Shows like 'Studio 60' get cut off at the knees because people are too infatuated with shitty reality shows and others that don't even make you have to think at all. I blame this on the female population since they make up over 50% of the viewing audience during prime time hours. Women could fuck up a one car funeral. |

Women could fuck up a one car funeral. typically I've been a big Sorkin fan ("West Wing", "Sports Night", "A Few Good Men", "The American President") but I hated "Studio 60". While it had your top notch cast, and was filmed very well, I just thought it was whiney and preachy, and predictable. As far as the industry that the show uses, "30 Rock" to me is thirty million times more enjoyable. But taste aside, the bigger picture is this: I too hate it when a show I really like (or has quality) gets hacked for BS shows that the network is just throwing out there for the hell of it. Fox does this all the time. The WB spawned all of these flashy teen dramas with adult themes, and now every network seems to think they need to re-create "Everwood", "Dawson's Creek", "Gilmore Girls"--and you have all these network hackjobs like "October Road", "What About Brian?", "Six Degrees", etc. Blech. All the same. Clone shows. |

Well, I've got bad news (except for TM) - NBC has cancelled the show. Remaining episodes will be available on the NBC website. |
