Post subject:  Football Season is almost here, so it needs to be asked...
Are we doing the chat?

As a Chicago transplant, this is as close as I get to sitting around watching a game with fellow supporters of the beloved.

Otherwise, I'm stuck watching games with Iggles fans or (shivers) Stillers fans.

I'm speaking for myself, I don't have an issue with chat, but I kinda like having all the game day talk in a CFMB thread. It gives us the ability to look back at comments in the future.

I always preferred the immediacy and conversations that could be had in real time as a break from the norm on the board.

Pros and Cons... I do like the chat, but agree with Nas it is nice to go back and review things. Maybe someone logs and posts the chat on the board? SuggestionBox is waiting for another chat! :)

I know I started this thread, but naturally I will not be around today.
I understand Nas's reasoning for not like the chat, but there is something fun/immediate about it. When around I will do whatever, but maybe chats should be used for national games (MNF, SNF, TNF). At least for me, it is harder to pay attention to the chat when 10 other games are on. However, I might be in the minority there and am being narcissistic with this request.

I almost want to DB the other parents, but it is sorta understandable...I guess.

Originally, the games were going to be at 11 starting this week but the God fearing folk (we have a lot of them around here. they also want to make America great again, which is interesting) got mad about Church conflicts. So they pushed them back to Sunday afternoons.

NFL football not as big here. Pennsylvania has a bit of Texas in it in terms of football preferences:
1. High School (Everything shuts down on Friday nights in the fall- makes it real easy to get a table but real hard to find a babysitter)
2. College
3. NFL
