I need to pick up a book to peruse the next couple days and wanted to see if there were any recommendations.

I prefer non-fiction but fiction is OK if it is interesting or, of course, if Fabio is on the cover.

I read the subject as "Book Rico." I was afraid that his royal Cakeness had bled into a thread far, far away from his usual enclosure.

Crap. I just made it happen myself. :? Oh well.

Send him an e-mail. I'm sure he'll have some suggestions for you.

But seriously, I recently read "Skunkworks" by Ben Rich. It's non-fiction about Lockheed's "Top Secret" department responsible for the U2 spy plane, the SR-71, and the Stealth fighter (F-117).

I found it a pretty interesting read, but I'm into stuff like that.

Do yourself a favor and read:

Henry George's Progress and Poverty. I recommend everyone read it; it attacks the problem of social inequality from an angle that is wholly overlooked today, and George is a fantastic writer. In its day, it was the most widely printed book other than the Bible.

It's available online here if you're not opposed to reading a fairly long book online.

Edited to add: follow the link, and read that first introductory page for a good example of his literary prowess.
