Having people over for the Rumble the next day. Dont want to subject the wife and kids to pantless Internet creatures two straight days.

It's funny we used to play every weekend. We had some weekends, where there weren't enough chairs because we had enough guys for three tables. Eventually it was whittled down to tournaments. Then no one showed up to those either. I knew it was dying when the Mirage cut its poker room in half a few years back. Sure, people still play, but the craze has long since past.

We used to have a game at the house once a month. At least 7 guys regularly. We somehow got two full tables of people down in the basement at the old house. Now that ive moved and have plenty enough room i cant get even a response here.

We had the same thing happen. When it got down to about six, we quit trying. Someone would get knocked out, and then you're playing short handed. We reserve our playing for Vegas now. The game has run its course. Thousands of hours of table time has a way of burning you out.

Don't take it personal. The biggest problem of the CIJ house game was the same people winning (and the same people NOT winning).

Maybe even some willing participants didn't think the stakes were high enough to generate their interest for the basement or garage.

How about a head count and trip to a casino for a cash game or an outing at a Chicago Charitable Games event. Just a thought.

I'm out, going out of town at the end of the month and need to keep my appearances up around the house for the next few Saturdays.

I always enjoyed the games at your place Chris. I didn't care about winning or losing (or even really playing for that matter). That being said, it's a hell of a lot hard to justify a 3-plus hour trip these days, being married and all.

If there is a game it's not entirely unlikely that I'd donate my money to whomever.

So can you pick me up a 5 hour on your way to the house?

I know where you guys can play on February 23rd. I'm sure denis and leash will be there to support their new BFF.

After Darkside spent an entire hour long ride telling me how he didn't know how to play poker, got shitfaced drunk and then still wiped the table clean, I haven't had much interest in CSFMB/CFMB/MWSFMB games.

Were you there for the 2nd game when Crosscheck sat down at the table and within 5 minutes spilled an entire beer all over the cards?

It's not temporary condition but a full time lifestyle for DS. And it's glorious.

Him and FF are both as graceful as a three-legged cat trying to bury its shit on a frozen pond.

Don great FF reference there. I think it took FF seven minutes to spill the first, and then he waited another hour to spill the second.

But he was deft at taking cardboard cut outs.
