Post subject:  Looking For a Stereo Amplifier or Receiver
I recently purchased an old Seeburg jukebox for the home. The original amp that was in it needed some work, so I sent it to an acquaintance of mine to have rebuilt. That leaves me with no amp at the moment to listen to this thing because I stupidly sold my last Receiver at a garage sale this summer for $10. I'm looking for a stereo amplifier or receiver I can use on a temporary basis while my buddy is rebuilding mine.

Anyone got any old electronics they are looking to unload? My receiver sat in storage for over 10 years before I finally decided to unload it at a garage sale this summer, so I'm guessing there are others here who have ditched their large receivers in favor of bluetooth speakers or whatever.

It needs to be something with a phono input (preferably with a built in preamp). With the speakers on the jukebox, I need about 100W per channel on the amp/receiver.

PM me if you got anything you would be willing to part with. Interesting trades considered.

Have you tried any local pawn shops?

Yeah, tried a couple yesterday. Lots of receivers out there, but none that really suited my needs. MANY receivers produced in the past 20 years have dropped the phono input.

It's a write-off for them..all these big companies, they write-off everything!

Does Martroy still exist? I used to do a lot of business with Ray back in the day.

Oddly enough I have an old Onkyo receiver with phono inputs--maybe 20-25yrs. But aren't phono jacks just standard RCA jacks.-- I,e, the same as AUX, etc.
