Anybody know a reputable place to sell 60s/70s/80s baseball cards in bulk? Multiple sets and some valuable individual cards plus 376 Manny Trillo 1977 Topps cards?

My brother and I are looking to unload the original retirement fund.

Thanks.

I just sold some signed memorabilia and a chunk of cards to a guy in Waukegan. I can give you the name of his business if you want to reach out to him. He responds pretty quickly via e-mail ( within a day ). He has a TON of cards.

 I been wondering how long this would take. Nice work.

But my brothernlaw is out of the card business and is currently following his passion for song writing and creating a band. I am sure you will hear from him soon!

Any 1983 Lamar Hoyt cards, preferably unconscious and featuring a burrito mounted on his chest?

I'd say talk to my dad, but I doubt he has an interest in cards from such a recent era. But, he might know someone who does. He's part of an exclusive baseball card trading group, but I think they all focus on much more rare stuff. It's pretty cool, they have to take a look at your collection and then decide if you are worthy enough to be in the group. Then you list the cards you are looking for and if someone has them they send them to you for free. On the flipside you have to look at everyone else's list and send them cards if you have them. Guys give kudos to anyone who sends them cards. It's a really cool group and set up. someone sent my dad a few hundred dollars worth of cards at one time and my dad reciprocated.

Just so you know the types of cards these guys are looking for, my dad is looking to complete the cigarette card set that has the famous Honus Wagner card in it. He does not have the Wagner card, but did ask the group jokingly if anyone wants to send him one.

That said, my dad might be interested in buying your brother's collection. About 25 years ago he bought the inventory of an entire baseball card store where the owner passed away and the wife wanted to get rid of it. Rented a truck and took 3 trips to get all the stuff. 25 years later and he still hasn't gone through all of the cards, but spends time doing that every night. says it was the best money he ever spent considering how much time he has spent sorting the cards.

I just asked him and he is interested in talking to your brother about his cards. I'll PM you.

All the cards are probably bent!

I have everything from 1983-89. Unfortunately most of the stuff is worth less than when I was collecting. There is very little interest or value in most of that stuff. I have seen what the complete sets go for, and it is sad.

I ended up giving my 1985-1989 sets to a woman at work for her son. He was into it and she is in charge of premium give always so it all worked out. I also gave away all my Star Wars cards as well. I considered it a win getting two bins out of the basement.
