As a special guest vocal? Do you know “Don’t Stop Believin’”?

Three other bands, not sure where we are at on the schedule for the night. Journey? Confusing my band with Total Recall (Just kidding...their set list is sweet)?

It was just the 1st song that came to mind when I was thinking about the opposite of a song JORR would sing. Although now that I think about it, a punk rendition could be interesting.

Perhaps we could work out a punk version of Yellow Submarine or Revolution 9...

It's still in the list for the other band I'm sort of in. "That's not my band, but I'm in that band"
.It's resurrected band that's currently nameless. We are booked March 26, but man....I hope the singer comes up with a band name sometime soon

Joe becomes Journey, for one night only!

Finally confirmed we are the "headliners" although the other groups on the bill play originals. I plan on hitting the place up this weekend to check it out and see some local music.

Ever been to Morgan's BigW?

Our daughter just got engaged to the owner's son.

I thought of Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell's "If I Could Build My Whole World Around You"

Yes, I like Morgans. Downtown Libertyville is nice, but it has a bit of a gentrified / hipster element to it. Morgans is old-school small town bar. Kind of similar to Grandpa's in Glenview or the Landmark Inn Northbrook.

I'm too Hillbilly for Libertyville, so being allowed to play Mickey Finn's is a real treat for me

Been quite a few yeas since I have been to Morgan's, certainly before Mickey Finn's moved to the new location. I remember it as being one of the more "blue collar" and normal bars on that stretch of road. Never been to the new Finn's but assume it is nice.

Morgans is probably my favorite bar in Libertyville...it's comfortable...every other place there feels like you're supposed to impress someone or some shit.

I could find my way to make an appearance on the 26th, though...depends on how drunk I get in Huntley that afternoon.

Libertyville actually has bars??

I feel like I was in Libertyville at 8PM on any day, the whole town would be closed.

Actually going to go down to Montrose Saloon tonight as they have three bands and need to drop off posters for our gig. One of these days I will make it to a Total Recall (or whatever the your new name is...) show.

We have a good feeling about this one, liked the vibe at the place last Saturday...thinking this won't be our last show in the city. Or I could be completely wrong...

Thank you! Should be a fun night....I haven't played Finn's since early 2013 in the old building, but it's always a good crowd there.

ALL YOU CITY SNOBS....go see JoyDog Saturday!

$10, do you need me to cosign a loan in order to afford the cover and get a few drinks?

Hitting up Brgrbelly before the show...

Brgrbelly was everything as advertised here. TS is a nice guy running a great business. Played a two hour set with great audience feedback and an invitation back (Latin/funk group I'm in is playing there 7/3). Main Street Outfitters in Wauconda on 4/22 is our next scheduled show. I hope Temporary Binge did well as well...

I'm sorry I missed it. If I could have stood for a couple hours I would have been there.

4/22 game time decision. We're having people over 4/23 for Mrs. BigW's 50th. If I'm on brisket duty it will be tough to get out on 4/22. I will try and get there....I really want to see your band.

The Temporary Binge debut went very well. Finn's is always a great crowd. They have in-house sound and the feedback I received was he did a great job. I guess we're getting invited back, so we will call it a win. Next up for us is a private party Memorial Day weekend and then Dock's in Wauconda Friday June 10th.
