Hey, if professional 'rasslin is gay, then rollerblading has to be gay.

Screw you guys. I'll take you all on with rollerblades with minimal ball grabbing.

But seriously, roller hockey mens league is usually a little cheaper then ice and generally has shorter season lengths, so I used to like it better.

Anyone here still play in a mens roller hockey league?

Used to play CIHL. Would like to rejoin. I haven't split anyone skull open with an unnecessary check in years. I miss it.

But if your parents know you are a rollerblader, then you don't have to tell them you're burrito. They'll already know.

agreed. my family was too cheap to sign me up for ice hockey when i was a kid, so that's why i played baseball - the punchline i like to tell is that for hockey, we'd have had to put about 2 grand into gear and signup fees, while the ballpark was right down the street and i already had a glove, the decision was easy.

that said, in high school my friends and i would pool together as much money as we could to rent out franklin park ice rink once a month, and in the meantime (weather permitting) we'd play inline @ the rec center, where they'd built an outdoor rink seemingly just for us, as we seemed to be the only ones who used it. great fun and a good workout - looking back, i'm amazed that i used to skate over to the rink before and after playing hockey all day, when now i drive the same distance (i.e. not far) to buy cigarettes and get a #3 combo from the dunkin donuts.

Is that any worst than the fat women who hop on the bus downtown, just to have it take them to the next stop (a block away)?
