I'm a cheap ass I admit it, but hit Sams Club today and got 2 dozen roses for 28 bucks. Better than those proflowers.com crap. Threw em in a vase and they look as good as the 50 dollar a dozen on V Day.

But I bet you had to pay for that vase at one time :P.

Thanks for the tip Vince. My first option was hitting Jewel on the way home tomorrow, but maybe I'll hit Sam's or Costco.

after tossing out a vase of dead roses sometime in august of last year, i vowed never to buy roses again, unless its a single long-stem and i plan to present it between my teeth.

chocolates are the way to go, especially if your wife/girlfriend/mistress is super into chocolates, as mine is.

Sorry to ruin your holiday, but watch out where you buy chocolate. I saw this crazy story on Channel 2 news yesterday afternoon and there were worms in a giant Hershey Kiss from New York. Also, they say watch out for old and misshapened chocolate, which just isn't any good.

I find that my hands love chocolates, as well...

I bought 5 cards for everyone I love. $17...and there were plenty of lovely, lonely looking ladies checking out the For Mom card section.

Go to Fannie Mae. Works like a charm.

I gave my wife the ultimate Valentine's day gift yesterday...I lost my wedding ring.

With the cold weather, it has been really dry in our house lately. So I've been having to use hand lotion (for actual hand-moisturizing purposes) a lot. The ring must have slipped off somewhere around here but we have yet to find it.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY, BABY!!

C'mon Killer. Let's be realistic here.

My all-time favorite Valentine's Day happened when I was in 8th grade. One of my dorky friends got his girlfriend a big red heart-shaped box full of chocolates. Since his parents thought he was too young to date, though, he had to hide the present from them, so he left the box behind at another friend's house and planned to pick it up at a later time. This turned out to be a serious error in judgment, though, because he also left behind me and a few other guys, who then proceeded to eat all of the candy. Not content with merely intercepting a Valentine's gift intended for our friend's girlfriend--whom we all disliked because this was 8th grade, after all--we conspired to conceal our gluttony by replacing it with cleverly disguised substitutes made out of clay and covered with various crushed nuts and spices to make them look authentic. We did an excellent job in fashioning the counterfeit candies, and my friend's girlfriend and her friends got quite an unpleasant surprise when they simultaneously bit into them during our lunch period. Needless to say, my friend had to spend quite some time in the doghouse, but he didn't care since he thought the prank was hilarious.

5 cards for each individual seems a bit much but it is Valentine's Day. I'll be looking for my 5 in the mail.

I stopped at the Jewels yesterday and bought roses for $19.99. A card from Walgreens rounded out my valentines day shopping. Mrs. Retard is good with that 'cause she just buys what she wants anyhow.

Here Honey, I love you...
Here's some empty calories and sugar to make you fat and less attractive to me. Enjoy eating your chocolate with that thought.
Also, I love you so much, here are some dead plants to show you. I didn't kill them myself, but I had them shipped to you so there.
Here's a card you will forget about in 10 minutes. Aren't I cute?
Here's some lingerie that I hope will be off you in about 15 minutes.

All this for a knobber. What a waste of time!
