I think that qualifies under the "Sell Stuff" part of this section.

Check out the other side of the street. Looks like some more business about to go down. But for this one, you can read the plate number of the car....

If you zoom out, you'll see 5 kids sitting next to the car. If it is a drug transaction, it shows a complete lack of judgement on the part of the "buyer".

It's been my experience that buyers don't care.

go up the street, turn around and follow it back down and zoom in. Gotta know how to work these google maps. Check out your own house and neighborhood too. You might find something interesting. I did.

I dont see any problem with it at all. If this kind of stuff is on Google, the government clearly has 10x the capablities of this, which I would be more concerned about but nothing we can do about it. Also, it doesnt seem to be a streaming webcast, so if its a picture of your house a year ago, I dont see the problem really.

But if its not in Real Time, Im not sure what the problem is necessarily. I obviously dont have kids, and could very well feel differently when I do, but I dont see the problem right now of it, as long as its not in Real Time and if its like a year ago. I wouldnt, however, have a problem getting rid of this, as I dont think its particularly necessary for civilians to have this.

Thats true but is that a whole lot different that planning a robbery while leaving your home? I could plan a robbery on anybody I know if I knew where they lived, although I doubt Id be very successful at it, and it would take more work than doing it on Google.

All you need is a property tax pin and you can see a picture of any house on the treasurers website...

You could, but any robber who is smart would want to scope out the area beforehand. This doesn't show the 6 big dogs you may have running around the house or the fact that you have a rocket launcher sitting in the living room.

As long as I'm not caught jerking off in the window I don't care. If anybody tries to break into my house they'll get dealt with.

I have a big problem with it too. There is no privacy any more.

It's not much different than someone walking around someone's yard and casing the joint. The difference is if someone were casing my house by walking around my yard, I'd go out and ask them what they were doing and take down their license numbers. And my dogs would eat them.

How accurate were your addresses in relation to your actual house? My address popped up as being about a block away from my house...

While I agree about the privacy concern, what actual harm is going to come from a 1 year old pic of your house online? Just Google your name. I'm sure more detailed and useful info will pop up there.

There's nothing on that webpage that you're not displaying to the public every day anyhow. So, there's no invasion of privacy. This ain't real time.

Nas, you're being paranoid. Anyone who would manage to look up your address on google knew it and easily could have driven by or paid some crackhead to ride by and take a couple pictures.
There is nothing on this webpage that you don't display openly, to the public, each and every single day.
