ok, I'm totally up for doing this and would go north if need be...on Randall Road in Algonquin there's a decent golf course (I've never played it but it looks decent) or we could do the Highlands, etc...anyone in?

I just hope this doesn't conflict with the trip to Europe.

According to Robin Williams they invented it in Scotland.

I would certainly be interested in this, however I would need a good amount of notice so I can put in for some time off.

not a problem, but it would appear there is very small interest in doing this...

Same here. I actually shot my first 18 yesterday since the back surgery. Shot horrible but let me tell you, being able to go to the 19th hole pain free was priceless.

Depending on the group, this might actaully cement your invitation...

Kid Cairo said the same thing...being good at golf actually makes it less fun, in my opinion...it's like being good at kareoke, the best kareoke singers are the worst...you're totally in, but you'd have to do some southern travel from C-Lake, maybe down to Algonquin/Elgin?

I prefer Algonquin over Elgin

Post subject:  Re: Golf Outing

I'm from much further west, so I'm meeting halfway...what are some good courses in Algonquin/St. Charles...I suggested Elgin because there's supposed to be a good course there called the Highlands...

Post subject:  Re: Golf Outing

COF where are you coming from. It would be easier to select a course if we knew. Algonquin and St Charles aren't all that close together. Are you basically saying that Randall Rd. is as far East as you're willing to go and that it needs to be between St. Charles and Algonquin?

Post subject:  Re: Golf Outing

I'm coming from Maple Park, so it's a good 30/40 minute drive to either St. Charles and a little more to Algonquin. I'm suggesting those as a halfway point but let me know if something else makes more sense. The good courses out here are Genoa (Oak Club) and Sycamore Golf course...DeKalb also has a couple decent courses.
