Much thanks to City of Fools for exercising his organizational talent. Can't wait for the next one, thanks.

Seconded. Big round of applause to CoF for setting this up. I am absolutely exhausted right now- great games by everyone out there.

Thanks again CoF. We're getting too big for that little gym on Forest Preserve Dr - we might have to move it up. UIC here we come.

Krazy Ivan
Hawkeye Vince
Nas
Killer V
M_C
Ryno's Wife
redneckmommy
The Original Kid Cairo
Irish Boy
Puckhead/Crystal Lake Hoffy
spmack
Darren - Tinley Park
hackwilson's ribbies
entr0py
Jason Goff
Webby

all 19 of you made this event a success. I want to especially thank Goff/LA/Webby for coming out despite being out till 4 am Friday night. Hoops 1 was a very cool event but despite dealing with gym problems, I think Hoops 2 was even better. I met a bunch of you for the first time, and out of the 17 that made it through the whole event, 12 of you came out to the afterparty which was really cool. The only thing that I have left to say is:

Regular Reader?

I'm fricking exhausted, but it was a great time once again.

I'll save the analysis for another time, but the most shocking thing that I witnessed all day was the fact that CoF and Kid Cairo managed to keep their pants up when "guarding" Jason Goff.

(PS - Sorry I had to bail on the after-gig. Once I got there, and realized how long it would take me to get home, I would have been able to stay for a total of about 5 minutes. I'm only allowed so much "fun time." :( )

You must have missed what they were doing with their tongues

Had a blast and wish I would have been able to make the first one. Meeting you all was nowhere near as surreal as I expected it to be, which is a testament to the good character and strong moral fiber of the brotherhood of pantsless internet cretins. Wish I could have made it to Shoeless Joe's, but much like Ringo Starr, I had "too much to do."

Huge thanks to RW for the orange slices, and also to City of Threes for organizing the full court fiasco.

My only regrets are giving Darren an elbow, Nas an errant pass to the leg, and neglecting to quote Rudy Fernandez to anyone on the court.

That's ok Suckers, but you will be hearing from my lawyer, Irish Boy, on Monday. :P

Had a great time as well. Good to meet some new board members and I'm glad I was able to make to the afterparty. And after Hoffy's comment, I'm glad I didn't go with the chili. RW and HWR, thanks for the beverages. They hit the spot.

And hears a funny story you may like. I went to my sisters to pick up my kids. I didn't leave there till after 9:00. I got home and went to walk in the house and somehow, the door from my garage to my house got locked. And of course I don't have a key on me. I had to go to my in-law's house to pick up their copy (luckily they're only five or so minutes away). I didn't get "home" till after 10:00. Luckily the kids were sleeping in the car the whole time. And as a gluten for punishment, here I am posting on this board while watching the Hawks instead of going to bed.

You guys learn anything from Goff about the Score?

Please tell me one of you asked him what Boers means when he hints at "gay activity" between Drinky and Goff. It's not so much that I have to know. I'm sure the answer is nothing. I've just asked so much that I just want to get a response. Drinky and Goff never answer me.

I wish I could have been there. I feel like I could have changed the complexion of the games. One way or another.

edit: I'm kidding. I suck.

Beardown's questions never get answered because people are scared of him. I know there are people out there right now that want to answer his question but they think he'll expect it all the time and PM them all the time for answers.

Beardown is waiting for that guy. That guy is scared of Beardown.

Nice. You're being me. That's the key. Say it like it's a fact. Nice job, Doctor. Although it might be true.

But I never PM anybody unless they PM me first. I rarely get PMs.

Thanks. Yeah. It would be rude to pepper Goff with goofy Score questions and conspiracy theories. It's tough to do that face to face. Easy to do it here.

Come to Hoops 3 in about 2 months (3/7 or 3/14 are the dates CoF and I talked about) and ask away.

Here's a pre-emptive "no, I wasn't at hoops, and no, I'm not really a woman"...

I just drive a woman's car...

Here's the thing Beardown: Nobody really cares that much about that stuff but you. You obsess over it. We were there to have a good time. I'm sure Goff didn't want to talk about work on a day off. That would be rude as hell to bombard him with questions like that.

Wow that was amusing. sp literally wound up like a pitcher to try to deliver a fireball bounce pass and scored a direct hit on Nas' shin...and it all seemed to happen in slow motion (of course it's only funny because Nas wasn't hurt).

But that wasn't as funny as when later, suckers committed a flagrant foul...on himself... I still couldn't describe exactly what happened, but it was hilarious!

Post subject:  Re: Hoops 2 Appreciation thread

Darren from Tinley Park drove to the hoop about as well as anyone despite giving up a lot of height

Killer V has a sweet shot from the outside. Ivan too.

Jason Goff made me look like a fool

I don't think I saw WZ get tired once

Webby won almost every game he was on the court for

Entr0py and Suckers Playground were monsters on the boards

Cairo and Nas were damn good point guards

I almost broke a rib on a screen set by Hawkeye Vince

M_C has a sweet fadeaway jumper and can play on the inside as well

CoF is a sneaky bastard that would always be the first one down the court if you weren't paying attention

Spmack is built like a small forward, but he handled himself inside against the bigger guys nicely

Hack Wilson's Ribbies came up with more rebounds than he had a right to

Puckhead, Gremmie out of Control, et al. had a knack for finding a good passing lane for the guys cutting inside

Redneckmommy and Ryno's Wife are ladies of the first class, although Ryno's Wife put her boob in my potatoes.

for rebounds down low. I'll shoot for Hoops 3. Pictures at all this time?

He just didn't score on me. I might be big, but I've played a few games in my life ;-)

As for IB and the pick, if your teammates don't call it out - I'm a freaking brick wall - I ain't going anywhere on a pick.

I think its more of a respect thing then anything. I realize he has some sort of celebrity status, but not all people want to talk about their jobs, especially about secrets or stuff that happens in the locker room, or the production studio.
