I know this has been posted before, but it was a long time ago, so here it is again. It's a role-playing, online football game called Goal Line Blitz. You create a player(s), join a team, then continue to build your player's attributes, while "playing" in games. A season typically lasts about a month or so. It's currently the off-season, so it's a good time to get in and check it out before games start. There are team owners, coordinators, playbooks, etc. The best part if that it's free!
