Maybe this falls under General Discussion but I'm thinking of starting a simple web site. It's related to football betting but in no way like DontFadeMe.com. Just public info for shits and giggles. I'll have more info come August. Related to this, If you're so inclined, I'd be interested to see how you would rank 1) the best 5 uniforms in the NFL and 2) the worst 5 uniforms in the NFL. If you're a uniform savant and want to rank all 32, feel free. The more info the better. Thanks.

I would try posting this in the NFL section instead of the Plugs section you have here.

Good idea. It's a self-promotional thing, so I wanted to be sure.

Worst- any of the third option uniforms created by the NFL simply to produce more revenue

Best- worn by a team whose name begins with a c, ends with an o and in the middle is a hicag, my friend

Saints in all black, Texans in all red, Bears in all black, Seahawks in all dingy blue/gray, Rams in all blue, Jets in all green... looks like some bullshit from Any Given Sunday.

I like throwbacks. I recall the Eagles wore some real bizarre ones a few years ago.

Apparently Philadelphia had (maybe still has?) a large Swedish population and those colors were chosen to reflect that.

I'm not completely faulting you here, Jalapenos - the fact of the matter is that Troy Aikman says the same thing (although I would imagine that he's been hit in the head by big, angry men a few more times than you have), but the beloved's dark unis aren't black. The concussed blowhole isn't the only one, however, but I'm just wondering why some people think that the Bears' colors are black instead of blue...

You're right... love your referencing the hex values, too. I think they were black in my memory b/c of the infamous final game of that Super Bowl season, which give us this infamous photo:

The Bears color is actually navy blue. In certain lighting it looks darker.

Hmmm. I'm not sure if that's completely right. The team that the Eagles replaced were the Yellow Jackets, who had (obviously) yellow jerseys. The Eagles were formed at the height of enthusiasm for the National Recovery Act, which called for a multitude of price regulations, industry standards, etc. Compliant businesses would put the NRA symbol in the window- a blue eagle. The Eagles were named after the NRA Eagle, and they adopted the colors of the old Yellow Jackets team and the blue NRA eagle.

Also, I'm a big fan of the 80s uniforms. I love the old Houston Oilers unis, and I'm one of the few people on this earth that thinks that the Bucaneers should never have changed their uniforms, especially their logo.

I wish the NFL store would allow customized Houston Oilers unis, rather than the stock ones they have (Warren Moon, Earl Campbell). I'd buy an Ernest Givens jersey tomorrow. I know you're happy for me.
