I'll just get my excuses out there early (God, I have the worst reasons not to play): The wife and I are both standing up in a wedding this fall, and September has been chosen for all of the prelim stuff. Bachelor/bachelorette parties and a couples shower - three weekends in a row in September. While I'm on it, is there anything more horrible in the world than the idea of a "couples" wedding shower? I mean really, ladies, we don't mind at all if you just keep the damn things all for yourself.  September is bad month for Spanky to play Hoops 5. I'm down for October. |

9/12 is UofI versus ISU and a night game so I'd be a tentative "go" for that day. 9/26 is UofI versus Ohio St. Mark me down as a tentative "no way in hell" for that day. |

add my no vote for Sept. Just bought a house (closing in mid-Sept) and will be very busy for that month, on top of my freakish work schedule the last five/six months. October sounds good for now though. Apologies for not being on the board to get Hoops 5 together. Remember when it was a joke, hoops events that is? I was but a rookie on the board at that time... |

I am definitely interested, especially if it falls in October. COF, I have been wearing my Hoops I t-shirt all summer with much pride. I even think that neon green color is coming back in style. No one bothers to read the shirt, since no one has asked about it yet. If asked, I will be sure to make it clear to them that, even if I tried to explain the event.... They just wouldn't understand.

first off, I love that people are still wearing the shirts, T-Bone... Secondly, I do think it's a great idea to do something before hand or after, but I think bowling should be a separate event as it draws a lot of the Hoops guys but a completely different cross-section of the board. We will do a bowling outing again, at the same lanes (except I won't pay for anyone this time) and maybe we'll do that in Nov. or Dec... Third, I'm in for Oct. 24th as far as I know. Do you want to take care of the gym rental, Vince or do you want me to? Fourth, youre right about Hoops still being a joke, Killer...I didn't stick around last time to witness the carnage, but I should be able to this time... |
