You might start hearing more about this in the papers and on the news in Chicago next week. I'm not really into art all that much but this should be a fun event if you want to get out of the city and check out what GR has to offer. ArtPrize is giving away $250,000 to the winner of a public vote where you vote via text, iphone app or artprize website. Top 7 vote getters get pay out. Over 1,250 pieces of art spread out within 3 sq. miles of downtown GR. Some very creative pieces already in place around town and expecting a lot of traffic to our fine city. Starts next Wednesday and voting ends October 3rd, let me know if you are in town and want to share a brew or tee it up. http://www.artprize.org/ |
