The Cabaret is a classic funked up dive on a budget! It's the real deal!

you have a 85% shot of me being there and 90% chance of lining up some shots.

Can I get a Set list? or what the jist is going to be?

Any cover tunes?

We'll play some Jimmy Cliff, maybe a couple Sublime tunes.

I'm playing for at least 45min acoustic, mostly covers. No more than 3 originals. I spray to all fields with the covers. A few will surprise a lot of people in the sense that you rarely here them covered at all, much less by an acoustic act.

Can I bring my acoustic and crash the stage for a song or two?

i may be able to do that between frank and DS's band. I've promised him and the guy after me a full hour. If we can set everything up at once it shouldn't be a problem. I just want everyone to be able to have the time to put in their full sets.

I know this is a month away, but I already know that this is the single greatest show that I have ever seen in my life. I can safely say that it is on par with other great shows, such as Zeppelin at the Stadium and just about every great Beatles concert in history. They were more in tune than any other music act I have ever seen and their usage of the whole scale, including b minor, was awesome.

Most of Zeppelin's Chicago shows (post 1969) were awful, Hoffy. And depending on the song, Page's guitar was always notoriously out of tune.

Z, I think Doug is gonna jump up there and play a tune with Darkside and I. Again I don't think I'll be doing a full hour, but at least 45min. I haven't time it out just yet, but I've pretty much figured out my set.

EDIT; I'm at a solid 45minutes, and I may throw in another real quick number to make it 50-55min.

'73 and '75 were particularly bad beacuse Plant caught a bad flu each time he was here. The first time was just the rigors of touring, but in '75 they came to Chicago in January and he caught pneumonia, his voice never really recovered from that. In '77, Page was so strung out on herion that he passed out during "Ten Years Gone" and the show was stopped at that point. The next night, he played most of the gig sitting down.

I haven't heard the Chicago shows from '71 and '72, but for the most part up until '73 they were damn good live act. After that though it was hit or miss, no inbetween. Either they were great, or very sloppy.

I'll be in town for the Schaumburg Golf Show that weekend and even though I'm not a live music fan, I might stop in to meet some the CSFMB quartet or whatever you guys are called.

Put on a good show!
