Hello fitness friends!

This is it gents, I hope you enjoyed as much as you could this holiday season, now begins the pain!

Rules:

The competition begins Mon. Jan. 4, 2010 with everyone weighing in before 11:59 PM the same day. Those who do not post their weight before this deadline will be disqualified from competition.

The competition will conclude on Mon. Apr 5, 2010 with a final weigh-in before 11:59 PM the same day.

The winner is the person who loses the greatest percentage of weight. In the unlikely event of a tie, the competition will continue for another two weeks with a weight loss runoff between the tied parties... (but this is highly unlikely).

The winner will receive my signed Chelios hockey stick, and if others want to contribute to the pot, let me know, but it's not required. I cannot vouch for the other prizes, but I will ship the stick to the winner.

The participants:
Crosscheck
RFDC
T-Bone
Darkside
The Spankster
Chris in Joliet
Chris in St. Charles
Suckers Playground
ChgoSportsFreak
Urlacher's missing neck
Mr. Hernandez
Frank Coztansa
Hawg Ass
SteveSarley
DegenerateDave
Bulldog Scott
Mustang Rob
Jack Bauer
K Effective

Any Questions? Good luck to all involved!

I will weigh in after work today.

If (a big IF) I happen to win I will pass along that stick to the 2nd or 3rd place winner as I am not a hockey fan so maybe somebody that finishes 2nd or 3rd is and would like such an item.

Sadly, I think I gained more weight than my wife during her pregnancy. Coincidently, the Baconator has a lot to do with that.

Anyhow, I'm weighing in at my most ever, which is 195. Hoping to get back down around 170-175.

Over the 4 months, my goal is simple, return to 235.

Thanks for posting this. Good luck to everyone. Regardless of who wins this thing, I hope everyone is able to get healthier during the next few weeks.

Man it was depressing to get on the scale this morning, I ain't been on a scale in months, guess I know why. I am right there with you crosscheck.

My official weigh-in: 264.4

Wait, I'm not in this. I weighed myself this morning, and I was at 170. No need to lose any weight. I would like to replace a little fat with a little muscle though. Where's that contest?

For those partaking, this may interest you. Cardinal Fitness has a printable coupon for a $10 joining Fee (I think its normally $30?). I had planned on joining there sometime this week

Pretty sure it was 20 a month for a while. I have an annoying co worker who spoke often of Cardinal fiteness.

So they raised the rates and give a 10$ coupon so the New Year's fatties feel like they re getting a deal

ITs $19.99 per month, but the new registration fee is like $40 or something...so with the coupon, you save 20 or 30 bucks.

Haha, I'm the same way. I would just like to improve my cardiovascular shape, but don't need to drop any real poundage. I'm 6'2" and 190ish. Lost about 30 pounds or so the past year.

Less Jack and Cokes more hours on a treadmill.

Best of luck to everyone participating. Just need to really focus and get in the routine of being healthy and eventually you'll be upset if you didn't get a chance to work out that day.

Looking forward to reading all of the good news

You lost 6.5 lbs. in just over 2 1/2 days? I'd say that's definitely do-able, but no way you can keep up that pace.

the scratches, cuts and bruises are hardly visable. I think you should have kept that chick around for a couple of weeks - she would have done wonders for your workout regimen!
