Post subject:  Shorts in the winter?

Lately I've been seeing people wearing shorts around here in the dead of winter, is this some sort of new trend? I think its dumb as hell, but I'm getting to the age where I'm starting to hate anything new. Anyone else see this?

I've only done this after leaving the gym.

I used to wear shorts year round up until a few years ago...no big deal to me...

I usually wear shorts all weekend. My apartment is a constant 80 degrees (border the boiler room on 1 wall) so if I am wearing regular pants at home, its way too uncomfortable. I usually just run out wearing shorts because its too much of a pain in the ass to put pants on to run to the store or get some food. Plus, the cold doesn't bother me.

I will wear shorts to and from the gym and as long as its not below 30 I will wear shorts around half of the time.

My goal is to run outside in shorts at least once every calendar month. Did December on Christmas Day and one day in January. 40's with little wind is my threshold for shorts outside.

I ALWAYS wear shorts under my jeans whether it's summer or winter. Never know when I want to take my pants off.

I always wear shorts when I run, never pants. I will run in shorts if its zero, the only difference is I will wear knee socks then. As long as you keep the head, feet, and hands warm its not that bad at all.

Did you notice that the guys wearing shorts in the winter are about 3 spins?

The Bermuda athletes at the Olympic opening ceremony wore Bermuda shorts. I can't wait to see them pull that off during the Moguls.

False. Most of the people I know (myself included) clock in anywhere from 185 to 230.

Anything over freezing is flip flop weather (unless there's a lot of snow). Anything above zero is shorts weather (unless the wind chill is crazy). How cold do you get walking from your house to your car to where you're going you sissies? If you have to walk around downtown or something sure, wear some pants.

Sure got a lotta people caring about what other people wear here, sounds like you guys are angling for a job on Queer Eye. I got hairy legs, I'm fine. It's also nice to get home after a long day and then when you take your flip-flops off your feet don't reek from being stuffed in shoes for 10 hours. You'd think Panther would be happy since it's obvious it's another sign that global warming is a farce if people are wearing shorts in winter.

mandals and birkenstocks are worse than flip flops. crocs are for kids and fat guys who wear shorts when it's 20 degrees out.
