"I just learned that a 'trusted' Animal Shelter from Quincy is neglecting their animals among other disturbing things. A fellow rescue informed me of the situation just now. Upon inspection, there were dead bodies laying everywhere, dogs eating the bodies because they are being starved to death rather being put down. This is supposed to be a shelter for unwanted animals!! I'd rather see them humanely euthanized rather than suffer here! The animal control warden tried a few months ago to get Dept of Agriculture involved and it backfired on her. All the animals (over 50 of them) were destroyed. The warden and a few other volunteers now have documentation and proof of neglect and abuse which they will be taking action on next week. However, they need to move as many dogs and cats as they can now to rescue before the Dept. steps in again and the animals will be destroyed again, as last time. There are currently 4 Labs now that we can bring up to safety on Saturday. This would be time to step up and help save a dog's life!!! Please, please let me know if you can take one. These dogs lives really do depend on us now!! Please email me now if you can help!!
