As some of you longtime CSFMB'ers might recall, my son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes about 18months ago. Shortly after our world was rocked by that diagnosis, we were introduced to a great family within our school district (the Reeg's) who helped us navigate through the tricky early stages of living with the illness. They are an awesome resource and a true inspiration with their fund raising efforts. Below are the details of the outing - which btw is a great time at the ballpark even without the good cause. The game tickets are only $6 with $3 going directly to JDRF. Please PM me for a copy of the order form, or you can call Mike or Julie directly. Also, I know some of you are are season ticket holders for various Chicago teams and have in the past generously shared those with other board members. If by some chance you're sitting on tickets you won't be using, they would make a welcomed addition to the silent auction. Thanks. - Rob Quote: Folks,
I have attached the order form for tickets to the Dupage Dragon’s game on June 6th. We hope everyone can join us for a great family friendly event close to home. Please feel free to invite any of your family, friends, or neighbors. If you were able to join us last year, we look forward to seeing you again. If you haven’t been to the facility at the Lisle-Benedictine University, it is beautiful, clean, convenient and right in our backyards. It includes a Moon Jump, an opportunity to run the bases after the game, players will typically sign autographs for all the children, and ample free convenient parking. We will be hosting a silent auction at the ballpark. Some of the items include: * Cubs Tickets * White Sox Tickets * Blackhawk’s Tickets * Ron Santo Autographed Baseball * Rounds of Golf at Several Area Courses * Spa Treatments * Gift Baskets * Restaurant Vouchers * Boat Ride on Lake Michigan We are still collecting silent auction items and will gladly accept any additional donations. We want to make this as easy as possible and encourage a strong showing. If you can join us please shoot either Julie or me an email, call the house, or fax the attached order form. Once we receive your RSVP, we will put you on the will call list. Your tickets will be waiting for you at the will call desk at the facility on game day. Julie or I will be at the will call desk to accommodate any last minute changes. We will collect the six dollars for each ticket at the will call desk. All children under five are free! If you RSVP and have a last minute change in plans; you will not be charged for your tickets. We will only collect money from those who enter the ballpark. If for any reason, you would prefer to have your tickets before game day just let us know and we’ll be glad to accommodate.
