CHICAGO WHALES HISTORY:Founded by Charles Weeghman, the club finished 1½ games behind the Indianapolis Hoosiers in the inaugural season for the league, during which the team lacked a formal nickname and was known simply as the Chicago Federals (or Chi-Feds). Prior to the start of the season, Weeghman built a stadium for the team, called Weeghman Park, designed by Zachary Taylor Davis, who had previously designed Comiskey Park. Now known as Wrigley Field and used by the Chicago Cubs, it is the only Federal League stadium still in use.

Please note that the Chicago Whales own the only championship in Weeghman Park/Wrigley Field history.

 I hope I remember this post for the annual tradition of Cubs/Sox "who sucks less" arguing.

I had a Chicago Blitz shirt when I was a kid, as well as a hat. At the risk of being extremely ridiculed, here it is:
Good Dolphin, you might want to not look. Don't want to get you upset.....and yes, that's a Bears belt buckle, not Eagles.

Eaglo, I like the obligatory black plastic ashtray for the deck from back in the day. Did you put out your Kool Light right before the pic was taken?

 Nope, I've never smoked anything in my life.
I didn't even notice that at first. Funny thing is that I don't think anyone smoked in my family at that point. My Dad did early in the 80's, so maybe for him or guests, I guess.

By the way, at the time, I was sort of allergic to cats so that cat used just always show up on our deck. He never went inside. We just fed him and that was that. One day after a couple of years he just quit showin' up.
