This is the collaboration between Pantera and David Allen Coe. It was a pet project of Dimebag's, and was recorded between 1998-2003. Only now has Vinny Paul chosen to release it. I picked it up today, and since I'm a huge fan of Pantera and DAC, I really like it. Dime's guitar work is phenomenal. There are riffs on this that would feel right at home on VDOP or Reinventing The Steel. It's kind of thrash/blues/country/boogie all blended together. He even makes his guitar sound like a fiddle on the title track. It's not a groundbreaking or out-of-this-world CD, just a really fun one. You can tell they had a blast making it, and I would have loved to have seen them tour in support of it. I know it's not for everyone, and if you don't like DAC, you'll probably hate it. But it makes me want to break out the Jack Daniels and toast a fallen metal genius, who was taken from us too soon.
