Walk down the sidewalk to the aquarium instead. It's way better - my kids were a little bored with the planetarium. Not sure how old your daughter is, but my 4 year old prefers the aquarium. |

Yes, if you see this guy, I would take her to a McDonald's Playland. |

rogers park bryan wrote: Taking my daughter today. Anyone there recently? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance I was there a couple weeks ago. There's not too much interesting besides the sky show. See the one on the old projector, and the one with Whoopie on the new projector because you probably will get to choose two. Don't bother with the "Edge of the Solar System" one. It was super gay, maybe kids would like it but not much fun really. There's a new kids type section... gets to live in a space station and "walk in space" and the kids prolly love that. They can do mining on Mars and some cools stuff. that's near then gift shop, behing the giant Sun model. Check out the Big ball. It's cool. it's a big ass metal ball that yo go inside. Back before projectors, you'd go in the big ball and theres' holes drilled in it that represent stars (as the light comes in from outside). It looks small but when you're in it's wild and cool, and you can enjoy the strange acoustics (cool to point out to a young scientist). |

There's one day during the week when the aquarium, planetarium and museaum are free no? I loved the planetarium as a kid and my kids liked it for a while. It almost looks the same as it did when I was their age though. The aquarium and museum got a much better reaction |

The old outer walls (with the astrological signs) are now inside the new structure, over der by that kiddie section I was talking about. |

At her age any day spent with daddy is a great thing. I am sure she will love it. Have fun! |
